Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/James Mason (National Socialist)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Nazi garbage I came across while looking for the 19th century Virginia politician of that name. john k 21:12, 17 Jul 2004 (UTC)
    • Nasty, non-notable Nazi. Nullify now. - Lucky 6.9 00:11, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: the Southern Poverty Law Center may need this entry. Not sure the wikipedia does. Geogre 00:49, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • A Google search for "james mason" "universal order" returns 61 hits. Delete as non-notable. If he were actually significant, then rest assured that the NPOV-stick would be applied liberally to any articles that that mentioned him and his ilk (my bias shows again.) --Ardonik 03:45, Jul 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • We need to know if the universal order is notable. I say keep anyway. The article isn't nazi garbage - although the subject may be. Secretlondon 12:15, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Change the title for consistency with other such listings. If so, keep. We don't have articles like "Chiang Kai-shek (Kuomintang)." Also, moving the mention of Mason's party affiliation to the article itself would increase the article's size by 50% or so... Fire Star 13:57, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. I ran a search through Yahoo looking for evidence that he or his organization was particularly notible and found nothing. -SocratesJedi 07:07, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Neutral. I collect these idiots, but this one appears not to be notable in any way - David Gerard 16:00, 20 Jul 2004 (UTC)
    • Asking around, he appears to be a minor pamphleteer rewriting the works of others. Not particularly notable as a leader, theoretician or arrested criminal. But he has in fact written a pile of pamphlets and the 'book' listed does exist. Michael Moynihan, who does deserve an article, is a major fan, which strongly counts in favour of listing Mason. I suppose it depends how completist we want to be with our Neo-Nazis - David Gerard 19:31, 20 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete non-notable neo-Nazi. -- Cyrius| 02:38, 21 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Neo-nazi activist seems to be a poor excuse of a human being, but wikipedia needs to have space for entries like this. Keep as a stub. Might also be moved to be part of a larger article, if one exists, about late 20th century neo-nazis. Arevich 04:08, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Neautral. Do a major rewrite of the article; it definately need an NPOV. If anything, make it a stub, or delete it. Kaelus 05:52, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete, if his only achievement is forming an organization that doesn't even rate its own article. Oh, and mark Mason himself for Wikipedia:People for deletion. Postdlf 14:39, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
