CIA[edit]

In response to your question on the CIA World Factbook entries on Wikipedia: the CIA World Factbook, along with most other US government documents, is in the public domain (i.e. not copyrighted), and so can be freely used on Wikipedia. This is also true of a few other sources, mainly stuff published before 1923, but not true of most sources. So, basically, the rule is that you can use anything in the public domain or that you have written yourself. --Delirium 05:15, Dec 25, 2003 (UTC)

Thanx. Got it! Will be more careful in the future.

Sari/Saree[edit]

Regarding, Saree and Sari, why have you created two pages? Do you know about Wikipedia:Redirects? Dori | Talk 05:51, Dec 25, 2003 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia by the way! Sorry if I sounded rude, it's late where I am. If you want to make an article redirect to another article, simply type in #REDIRECT [[Actual name]] for its contents. Dori | Talk 05:58, Dec 25, 2003 (UTC)

Great Uprising[edit]

Hi there StupiDeity... I was interested that in your Meerut page you refer to the "Great Uprising" of 1857. Presumably this is what is always in British sources referred to as the Indian Mutiny? Is it the preferred name in India now? If so, it ought to be added to the list of names in the Indian Mutiny page - which may need some other edits, too - have you looked at it? seglea 06:36, 25 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Hi-- I think the edit you've made to the beginning of Indian Mutiny improves things considerably - makes it much less Anglocentric. seglea 00:47, 4 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Talk page[edit]

Hi. I just moved the talk page you created to the right place. Please don't create arbritary pages for talk pages - use the Discuss this page link. Thanks, Morwen 20:47, Dec 26, 2003 (UTC)

Pagalguy[edit]

PaGaLGuY.com was deleted July 25, 2006. Pagalguy was deleted April 11, 2007 per WP:CSD#G11. However, WP:CSD#G4 would seem to apply as well. Pagalguy would need to have received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of Pagalguy to meet General notability guidelines. Material from such reliable sources may allow a page on PG to be set up on Wikipedia. -- Jreferee (Talk) 05:32, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
