There is little more than a dicdef here; I propose moving the Haploidy, Diploidy, Haploidisation, Polyploidy, and Aneuploidy pages to Ploidy. You have to read all those articles to understand ploidy anywho. I'll be happy to do the merge after approvial. Lefty 15:59, 2005 Mar 12 (UTC)

Dunc, I reverted your move to haploidy because it doesn't conform to the naming convention of the most commonly-used name (made evident by not a single page linking directly to haploidy), nor does it make the Google test 125,000 (haploid) vs ~4400 (haploidy). Also since no pages linked to it, you would need to change a lot of pages to avoid the redirect, which doesn't seem worth it. Cheers --Lexor|Talk 00:17, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
