Another Television Sighting[edit]

On Nova. How do I refer to it?

Google book search shows some books by this author http://books.google.com/books?id=vCYvAAAAMAAJ&q=Robert+swirsky&dq=Robert+swirsky&ei=BYF6SvS6HoPOlQSMx7ysDQ

How about a link to his books? I guess there should be a link containing the ISBN? Swirsky's book on 3D Photography is considered "the bible" but I don't see any mention of it 204.128.192.3 21:16, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are very few people from the early days of personal computing who are still active, writing software, and involved in the computing community. Many people who were involved in personal computing since the early 80s remember reading articles by Robert Swirsky, including the monthly "Apple-cations" column in Creative Computing, etc. His history at Walt Disney Imagineering as one of their only full-time software people makes him notable in a very specialized area.

Defense of Bagel Act[edit]

IIRC, this is the guy who tried to get a ballot initiative in CA for the "Defense of Bagel Act" making it illegal to call something a "bagel" unless it was boiled before baking. Anyone have any details? 4.235.66.213 01:38, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

He also ran for Governor of CA during the recall election, according to the offical list at the California Board of registrars site 192.150.10.200 04:55, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pants off Dance Off[edit]

Swirsky was on the September 30th airing of Vibe TV's "Pants off Dance Off". I nearly fell off my chair when I saw him on that show. I'll try to get a screenshot....

Some references have been added[edit]

I got things rolling by adding a couple of references 69.228.240.57 04:40, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
