Untitled[edit]

Michael Schwerner has about 5 times the Google hits of Mickey Schwerner. (And "Mickey Schwermer" is simply a typo in the last name.)

It seems clear both names are the same person, however. (It may be the prevalence of the more formal version is a result, of being formal in press releases, soon after the disappearances, to show respect for someone recently dead , or to let him sound "serious" rather than casual.) --Jerzy 08:27, 2004 Feb 9 (UTC)

Jerry Mitchell has no page, yet he supposedly investigated "several high profile Civil Rights Era cases". if so, there shold be at least a complete list of these cases available. previously the link to Medgar Evers was broken, so all i can say is, how can it be high-profile if noone knows about it? If anyone can find information on this Jerry, make a page, and include a list of these cases, as many might find it informative. --EdgeCalibur 00:01, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"of Jewish Heritage"?[edit]

Do I presume correctly that this phrase was put in because no one can tell if he was really Jewish or not, & this was the best way to satisfy all sides? (This, of course, begs the question as to how we're supposed to find out one way or the other...) FlaviaR (talk) 17:40, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Works of Fiction[edit]

NOTE--I live 22 miles from the murder site. Most of the articles written about the murders are fictional or unproven. 130313 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.239.21.253 (talk) 02:07, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That may be so, but in order to add content to this article, especially information of that magnitude, you need to find it published in a reliable source.--Dudemanfellabra (talk) 03:23, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Head scratcher of a sentence[edit]

"While an undergraduate at Cornell, he integrated the school's chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity."

A Jewish man (Schwerner) joins a Jewish-themed fraternity (AEPi) and this is considered "integration"?50.0.36.26 (talk) 06:57, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

--Patbahn (talk) 14:44, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

it could be Scherwner lead efforts to induct the first black member to the frat?

robert reich[edit]

as a child, Robert Reich knew Michael Schwerner, and writes about their extensive interactions...

Any suggestions, on how to add that?
