choke is and incredible book. chuck is a superb writer. words cannot even describe is greatness! i love his writing style!

choke is my second favorite palahniuk book (along with lullaby). this page does it no justice. whoever wrote it is a moron. if i have time i'll put a proper introduction and synopsis here in place of this barely readable tripe. runciblerabbit

I'm thinking of getting rid of the line that says this novel can be seen as a sequel to Fight Club. It is obviously not and the only similarity between the two is in the style. If there aren't any objections then I'll take it out now. --681dragon 00:39, 28 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I was not under the impression that Victor wasn't a sexaholic. It says on the page that, like fight club, the main character goes to support groups for things he doesnt suffer from. But i was pretty sure he was a sexaholic.

Denny[edit]

People keep refering back to Fight Club in Chuck's books and I understand that it was great. However, if you really think about it, it's mostly popular because of the movie.

Film shooting info[edit]

My problem was not with the accuracy of the information, but with its appropriateness for an encyclopedic article about the book. It's a bunch of ephemeral, nonessential, poorly written information that also, frankly, makes the page look lousy. If someone wants to start an article on the film, perhaps all that stuff could go there, but it really isn't, I think, very useful here.--ShelfSkewed Talk 18:58, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Panic At The Disco Song[edit]

I had this same experience. I actually re-read it specifically looking for the quote, and still nothing. I caved and spent $9 on the eBook so I could search with Acrobat, and that quote simply does not exist. There isn't even a similar quote.

Plot summary sentence[edit]

Could someone please clarify what this sentence:

As Choke is episodic in character, individual chapters deal with different aspects of the narrators life and the lives of those around him.

I have read the book (it was some time ago) and I find that statement, that the narrative is presented out of chronological sequence, to be accurate. I have re-cast the sentence. Han 14:46, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
