Image:Meycauayan church.JPG[edit]

Hi there! Thanks for adding the image Image:Meycauayan church.JPG. It currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, and I was hoping that you would add one as untagged images may be deleted eventually. (You can use {{gfdl}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) Thanks! --David Iberri | Talk 18:05, Oct 29, 2004 (UTC)

Bulacan's provincial seal[edit]

Could you re-upload the image as "Ph_seal_bulacan.gif"? The current name "Provincial_seal2.gif" is not very descriptive. It would also be nice if the names match the other provincial seals for easy searching:

Image:Intramuros.jpg[edit]

G'day Robby,

I'm glad to see that you've been doing some excellent work at both expanding a number of wikipedia's articles, as well as added some great images. However I've recently looked at some of the images you've been using, and thought it best for me to alert you to a couple of issues.

The image of Intramuros is currently tagged with a {{verifieduse}} tag. This is a special tag for verified fair use cases that have gone through a review process. In particular, the image requires the image description page to be completed, and a fair use rationale must be provided.

The {{verifieduse}} should only be used after a process of review to ensure that there's no alternates to using that particular image. Fair use laws are different from country to country, and some don't have them at all. As such, wikipedia tries to avoid using fair use images where alternative licenses or images exist.

In the case of the picture in question, it would be reasonable to expect that other photographs of Intramuros may exist, some which may have a more compatible license with Wikipedia. As such, the use of the {{fairuse}} tag would be more applicable than {{verifieduse}}.

Don't forget that all images need attribution on their description page. If you've taken an image yourself, then don't be afraid to say so, as well as the license with which you grant wikipedia the right to use that image -- often the {{GFDL}} is a good choice here. If the image was obtained from somewhere else, then list your source, including the photographer if possible. Without this information it's impossible to verify the license associated with an individual image, and the {{unverified}} tag would be the only applicable image tag to use.

Thanks once for all your contributions and edits to wikipedia, and keep up the great work.

All the very best,

An image or media file you have uploaded, Image:Facade.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
Warning sign
This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Meycauayan church altar.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stan 14:35, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Ph_seal_bulacan_meycauayan.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ph_seal_bulacan_meycauayan.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Unspecified source for Image:Intramuros.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Intramuros.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:55, 24 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Abu badali (talk) 17:55, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File:Cross of Bocaue.jpg needs authorship information[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Cross of Bocaue.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Robby dela vega}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:05, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Old cathedral.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Old cathedral.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for May 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Art Deco theaters of Manila, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gaiety Theater (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
