Living[edit]
I am a 20 year old male living in Wood Green, London. I grew up in Rainford, St Helens, and have since lived in St. Helens town, Toxteth, Liverpool, Didsbury, Manchester, Ilford, London, Barking, London, Bedfont, nr Feltham and The Old Kent Road (although not necessarily in that order)
Educational[edit]
I went to high school at Rainford High Technology College, where I passed my GCSEs with above average grades in 2000. I subsequently went on to study AS levels at the Sixth Form College attached to said high school. Achieving two AS levels in Psychology and Mathematics and Statistics, I subsequently went on to study at Liverpool Community College where I studied AS levels in Media Studies, I.C.T and Philosophy. Completing those courses in 2001 I subsequently went to study at City of Westminster College, although I failed to complete any courses there.
Other information[edit]
I'm a life long vegetarian, although I live with an omnivore. I don't drink alcohol, nor smoke tobacco (or for that matter any other intoxicating substance stronger than caffiene.)
I'm a Pagan Pantheist, although I have somewhat unusual views on the nature of spirituality. I have been treading this path for about 8 years now. I read the tarot and the mah jonng as aids to clairvoyance and clairsentience.
I have a habit of asking simple questions in German, cursing in Cantonese, and exclaiming a few simple phrases in Welsh. I'd like to be truly mutlilingual, but haven't gotten around to learning yet.
Political[edit]
I'm a (positive) libertarian at heart, although I recognise that liberalism is a more sensible police. Social policy is more interesting to me than economics (probably stemming from my studying sociology), and I tend to focus more upon the former. Economically, I'm left wing. According to Political Compass I'm (approx.) -5, -7. Currently, my major political concerns are the attempted introduction of ID cards in the UK, the international situation in the Middle East, and also how Bush is going to screw things up during this term of office.
Hobbies, Passtimes and Interests[edit]
I have a more than considerable love for music, and I would list The Frames, Damien Rice, Gemma Hayes, The Doves, Aqualung, Beth Orton, Portishead, Blackfield, Porcupine Tree and Lene Marlin amongst my favourite artists.
I'm also interested in philosophy and linguistics... however this is more of a casual interest than an acedemic one.
I take a casual interest in politics, see above.
I am an avid roleplayer, including LARP. I tabletop roleplay in Deadlands and have roleplayed in Vampire: Dark Ages and Mage: The Ascension. I am currently looking to start a Vampire: The Requiem chronicle although I have to admit to being utterly uninspired when it comes to writing plot!
I very much enjoy writing poetry - although most of my work is pretty poor generally, I have had three short pieces published so far.
Me and Wikipedia[edit]
I use Wikipedia mainly to research out of curiosity and to win (and often lose) some debate that has cropped up between me and a friend.
I'm also fairly well knowledged about the occult but I haven't found any major need to add to any off the relevant pages.
I'm using wikipedia considerably less than I used to now that I actually have something constructive to do with my time - however it is still a valuable resource for my Uni work - although I'm thinking of going over a couple of sections on here once I've finished my current modules.
