Damien Davis began writing his music as a small boy, Listening intently to all kinds of Music of Diffrent and various genres; Although ussually he could be found listening to old Beatle records and having to put up with the scoffing for soing so when they were far from hip....... His first Guitar he recieved when he was twelve years old, it stayed only a week before it was dumped and forgotten about until a later stage. The next time he would play would be eighteen , whne he learned various covers and after a few years took to the streets and played with a varied lineup of musicians in Dublin and around Ireland. In 1990 he gave up music for a period of five to six years and in 1996, he returned to his pen and guitar and wrote his first song 'Shillingtons party' And then his second 'A good day to die' , he began writing the songs that would make up the Keep the Pace Album, a raw Album, far from perfect, but, after listening to all the so called perfect music of the 80's and 90's it was time to get a little imperfect, to get them back for that constant Drum beat that grates the nerves....... Back to basic songwriting and New Chord progressions, as can be heard on I still Love her and Controls to your Heart, Shillington's Party; Adventerous Chord Structures that don't fit the usual Progressions we are used to hearing. Tango One Writen about Martin Cahill and later Goldebridge, about the childrens home that he and his Sister and Two Brothers Did frequent as children, from a Broken Home, Goldenbridge.
