First place to see the sun[edit]

Re: Hikurangi being the first place on Earth to see the sun in the morning: actually, the honour goes to Mt Hakepa on Pitt Island in the Chathams. Mona-Lynn 12:13, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)

... and in mid-summer Dunedin and Christchurch both get the sun earlier, too. The Mt Hikurangi information will be moved and improved on (to its own page) very soon. Grutness 05:37, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
