Useless dictdef, I don't see any potential for this article. -- Ferkelparade 08:23, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete - Greeting (verbal) redirects here, but that ought to be a general list of greetings, in multiple languages, which doesn't appear to already exist. Individual greetings don't need articles, (except maybe redirects to the list). TPK 08:49, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • There's surely room on Wikipedia for information on verbal greeting customs. I've replaced Greeting (verbal) with a suitable stub and, with the agreement of the VfD lister, will redirect Good Morning to it. - TB 11:19, Aug 4, 2004 (UTC)
    • Redirect to greeting (verbal). Agreed w/ TB. Wile E. Heresiarch 13:35, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)
    • Concur- having a page for each and every greeting-phrase, all of which have effectively the same semantic content, is silly; one page can index them all, with context, and be very helpful. Redirect.-FZ 16:37, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like other '/delete' pages is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion or on the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
