Dubious[edit]

This article seems to have doubled in size recently, mainly by the addition of a "Façade" section, which appears to be a chunk of the Catalan article (translated verbatim) describing the exterior of the building.
How exactly is this an improvement?
If the article needs expanding, it could do with some (short!) paragraphs on its history, design, architectural significance; it does not need to be a full translation of the (118kB!) Catalan article. Also all the references link to the Catalan WP article, not to an actual source, And the stated reference, Bassegoda Nonell, is a non-english (Catalan? Spanish?) what the article here really needs is English language sources to back up what is already here, not reams of unverifiable information that can be read simply by following the interwiki link.
If it cannot be fixed, this section needs to be drastically trimmed, or deleted altogether. Moonraker12 (talk) 10:20, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think there's some good information in the Catalán article, though a lot of it is just opinion/fluff. I think it would be good if someone trimmed down the passage I introduced, since I basically just plunked the original text into google translate and corrected the errors. I leave it to you to decide. Zhoulikan (talk) 21:30, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tours[edit]

Perhaps some mention should be made that at least part of the building is open to tours even if other sections remain private. The tour hands out a device that can be used to view the room as it may have looked originally. Currently the rooms open to tours are sparsely furnished but looking through the viewer the room appears furnished. WikiParker (talk) 22:23, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Catenary Arcs[edit]

There are two photos of "catenary arcs" in the building's loft. One says the loft is made up of 60 catenary arcs, and shows a series of identical arcs, all of which look like catenaries. The other, however, shows several arcs of different shapes, most of which don't resemble catenaries at all. As the catenary was a common architectural element in many of Gaudí's works, we should get this right. But most of the arcs in the second photo don't look like catenaries, they look like hyperbolas. They have high curvature at the top, which is fine, but as they reach down, they approach two straight lines that intersect at a wide angle. Catenaries don't do this, but hyperbolas do. Catenaries approach two parallel lines. The farthest arc in the photo is the only one that resembles a catenary, but its caption says "catenary arcs" (plural) as if they're all catenaries. This is incorrect. —MiguelMunoz (talk) 17:20, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
