Missing Name.[edit]

Why is there no reference to John Gorman? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.196.83.175 (talk) 16:36, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Andy Roberts[edit]

I've added a sentence or two to reflect how important Andy Roberts' contribution was to The Scaffold. He was very much the 'silent partner' in the band but they wouldn't have been able to function musically without him. HippyGumbo (talk) 14:24, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I see he has his own article. But I think you'll need to provide some kind of source(s) for that claim? Martinevans123 (talk) 14:46, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It is a bold assertion, I suppose. Aside from contemporary album credits, sleeve notes and the anecdotal recollections of the three core members themselves (who were and are more than willing to attest to their own musical limitations) there isn't much material I can link to or cite as reference as per Wikipedia's criteria, unfortunately. However, I'll dig around and see what I can find. HippyGumbo (talk) 18:46, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, a bit too bold for the lead, I think. You are very probably quite right, so I hope you find something. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:50, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, on reflection and in light of a lack of adequate attribution, I've decided to qualify the text in question a little and move it from the header paragraph into the main body of the article that details the musicians who played on The Scaffold's records. I think that's a fair compromise, but if anyone wants to debate further I'm quite open to it. Thanks for your input Martin.HippyGumbo (talk) 20:10, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
