Contemporaneously?[edit]

Contemporaneously? is such prodigious phraseology necessitous? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.144.254.51 (talkcontribs) 16:38, June 22, 2004

I've changed assessment from "B" to "A"[edit]

MadMax originally added an assessment of "B" for this article, as part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Assessment project. However (quoting from the assessment table given there) I don't see any "significant gaps or missing elements or references", nor do I think it "needs substantial editing for English language usage and/or clarity, balance of content, or contains other policy problems such as copyright, NPOV or NOR." I've changed the the assesment to "A", since I think it meets the "A-class" description. I would be happy to discuss this with anyone who sees things differently from me ;-) Paul August 18:07, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GA Sweeps Review: Pass[edit]

As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing sweeps to go over all of the current GAs and see if they still meet the requirements of the GA criteria. I'm specifically going over all of the "Conflicts, battles and military exercises" articles. I made several corrections myself throughout the article. I believe the article currently meets the criteria and should remain listed as a Good article. As a side note, I'd recommend condensing down the excerpt in the "Philip makes peace with Aetolia" section, as such a large block of text overwhelms the section. Remove some of the irrelevant statements, replacing them with "..." and maybe summarize some of the points at the end. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I have edited the article history to reflect this review. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 05:42, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Citations needed[edit]

  • @Cplakidas, Iazyges, and Gog the Mild: Hey guys, I just found this article and I realised it needed a lot of citations and because it's so old and is an A-class we need a clean-up here. Because a reassessment is the last thing we should do, I hope someone of you has the sources or new sources to update it? I personally don't have the sources about this war (I barely have heard about this war) and let's say I'm not a specialist in Roman history. I also will ping the nominator from the ARC back then. Of course if you don't have time or you don't have the motivation to do this then it's okay it can wait or someone else will fix this. Hey Kirill I know you are semi-retired on Wikipedia but do you have the time and the motivation to help us to solve this problem? Cheers. CPA-5 (talk) 14:07, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The article should not be a GA; unless someone wants to re-write it almost from scratch, it should be delisted. T8612 (talk) 15:32, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As noted at Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Assessment/First Macedonian War, this older GA has significant issues with overreliance on ancient sources, uncited text, and excessive quotations. Hog Farm Talk 15:09, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delist; most sources are primary. Might see about fixing it at some point but it'll be a long time if so. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 07:17, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
