Move[edit]

I've moved this from "Frederick Douglass Patterson" to "Frederick D. Patterson" as per the naming conventions. It appears the Frederick D. Patterson is the more common usage, as indicated by the UNCF website. Wikipedia:Naming conventions (common names) -- Dpark 01:04, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

This information on Frederick D. Patterson is the wrong person from Greenfield, OH. Frederick Douglas Patterson was not an orphan, he was born in Greenfield, OH and worked with his father in his carriage bizness after he graduated from Ohio State Univ. where he was the first Afrikan American to attend and graduate from Ohio State Univ where he played football. He also was the first to manufacture automobiles in the USA before Henry Ford. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.77.156.182 (talk) 04:25, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
