I substituted Hera for 'Gaia (or possibly the goddess Juno)' as the goddess whose scorpion stung Orion. Juno was a Roman goddess that the Romans associated with Hera. She had no direct relation to Orion. Gaia is the Earth Mother whose presence looms behind the Triple Goddess of Crete, whom Greeks identified with Hera-Demeter-Athena according to context.
