Needed?[edit]

Is this article really needed? All of the content is on the author E. H. Gombrich's page already? Teapotgeorge 15:36, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely- this is one of many books by Gombrich, and this book was extremely influential and relevant regardless of its author. 222Boarbot78 (talk) 16:00, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Plans for edits[edit]

I am planning on making some changes to the article in the coming weeks. First, I plan on rewriting the summary section to be better organized and more informative. I will also be adding a background section, drawing from articles about the book and interviews with the author to bring the article closer to Wikipedia’s recommendations for articles about books. I will also be adding a reception section for the same purpose, drawing from contemporary and modern-day reviews of the book, and within this section, I will include criticisms of the book. I will also add a brief style section, as this book has substantial commentary on its style. This is also in Wikipedia’s recommendations for articles about books.
