Minor Edits[edit]

In recognition of your dedicated use of the minor edit, I award you the Minor Barnstar Brian

Thank you for volunteering on the common mistakes! In recognition of your effort, I'm offering you this Minor Barnstar.

I also wanted to congratulate you on your degree in political science. I studied polisci for a while at Gonzaga University in Spokane. My degree is in chemistry, but since I'm a city councilmember, it's apparent which course of study took hold.

BTW, the Zags are doing better at b-ball than that Illinois game would have indicated. Perhaps we can arrange for GU and Mizzou to meet in the final this year! Brian Sayrs 20:20, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I'm flattered, Brian - both for the Barnstar, and for the fact that you even suggested that Mizzou might make a trip to the Finals this year! The Zags have a quality program, we're looking forward to seeing them in Columbia on the 30th of December. Tonya 22:42, Dec 4, 2004 (UTC)
Hey, Tonya, I just wanted to note for the record that Mizzou managed to beat Gonzaga. It was a rock-n-roll of a game. We'll just have to even the score in March! Brian Sayrs 04:28, 2005 Jan 9 (UTC)

The Humungous Image Tagging Project[edit]

Hi. You've helped with User:Sietse Snel/Fix common mistakes project, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)

You must have read my mind ... that, or you're tracking my IP. *wink* Actually, I was oggling that project no more than a half hour ago - I'll tell you my fear, and maybe you can talk me into helping with the project ... Here's the thing - I don't know a thing about tagging images. If you can convince me that I can do a good job (and more importantly, not screw up), then I'll be more than happy to help. I know; it's a bit scary, and I have not done any myself yet - I've appointed myself to the pblicity team. but I had a look through some pictures and there are enough of them where people have said "I took this picture"or "I drew this" to know that they would be {{GFDL}} ... sure, it gets more complicated with the NASA images or whatever, but I guess the best advice is, start with the easy stuff, and if in doubt, come back to me or User talk:Quadell and ask for feedback on some of those you've tagged. And, err, don't worry and try to enjoy yourself. The worst that'll happen is you get to see some great images and inappropriately tag something as GFDL which should not be. And that would not be the end of the world! --Tagishsimon (talk)
