While we're happy that you're doing pages for the infantry regiments of the Indian Army, please could you make sure that you wikify them when you do them? Hammersfan 10/4/05, 00:37

Creating Articles w/ Categories[edit]

Good work creating new articles. When you create things, it helps tremendously to assign them to an accurate category (see WP:CG for info). If you're really not sure about categories, at least assign your new articles a stub category (see WP:SC for info). By assigning a category, you help make sure your new articles don't get lost as 'orphans' that are not associated with related topics. Feco

Hi LordVin1, A large number of article you created have been listed as copyright violations. They will be deleted unless the original author releases the material per the GFDL. See the pages in question on Wikipedia:Copyright problems, and the pages themselves for a reference url to the copyrighted source.

Please don't use copyrighted material in wikipedia. Or, if you are the original author of the websites where the material came from, then you need to note this in the talk pages. Thanks --Duk 20:53, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Minf.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Minf.gif. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know on the image description page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Thanks so much. --Shanel 21:56, September 11, 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging for Image:JAK-Rifles2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:JAK-Rifles2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Botg.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Botg.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -SCEhardT 17:12, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Untagged image[edit]

An image you uploaded, Image:Paratroopsym.jpg, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 01:04, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Minf.gif[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Minf.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:53, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
