Didn't Ultra intelligence play a substantial role in this battle? --user:Robert Merkel—Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.186.7.204 (talkcontribs) 25 February 2002

Only after the Naval enigma was broken somewhat later in the war. Other powerful anti-submarine weapons were the special aggressive anti-submarine destroyer/frigate groups and the aircraft-mounted Leigh lights. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.79.72.140 (talkcontribs) 5 March 2002
VLRs & Huffduff were more important than the Support Groups or Ultra. Thank this SOB for denying Coastal Command any until the battle was mostly won. TREKphiler hit me ♠ 20:54, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
