Untitled[edit]

The image I uploaded, campion.jpg, can be found on at least two websites. One of those is http://www.classical-composers.org/cgi-bin/ccd.cgi?comp=campion. And it was sent there by some guy named Egon Schroder. Please tell me what is wrong with this image. --Marcus2

For one thing it's a caricature rather than a straight likeness, and therefore less suitable for an encyclopedia. For another, it is a much smaller and lower quality image than the one that was here before. For a third, it has no copyright details - judging from the style, I suspect it is a modern drawing and therefore in copyright, something which isn't the case with the other image. So the other image is preferable in every way. --Camembert

Okay, I think I get the point. But what do you mean by the old image being superior. --Marcus2

I mean it's of a higher rank, of greater value, better (for the reasons given above). --Camembert
Well, the image has been removed, because it was of Edmund Campion, so it wasn't of very good encyclopedic value after all. Mak (talk) 22:13, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Link "Cherry ripe" in this article refers to wrong poem (that one not written by Campion). Please fix. I'm not very English, don't know how. (Well, it could by right in very vague sense.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.128.167.145 (talk) 19:22, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
