Challenge to 10/22 parentage[edit]

What information supports the statement that this gun is based on the Ruger 10/22 Carbine? The commonality of magazines and ammo with the P Series pistols is claimed by the manufacturer. But I see no such claims regarding the 10/22 in the Ruger Catalog, or in this gun's Instruction Manual.

article needs to be renamed (lose GR)[edit]

There are no articles on the Ruger PC9 except this one. The GR refers to the Ghost Ring sights, which are a particular feature of one version of this gun. We should rename this thing to drop the GR, and describe the GR version, if anyone thinks it is meaningful. RPellessier | (Talk) 06:36, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)

New article in the works[edit]

I'm going to create a "Ruger Police Carbine" article, and then this can be deleted and pointed to that article. It'll cover the PC9, the PC40, and the GR variants. The PC is "descended" from the 10/22 only in the sense that it shares the same basic dimensions and shape (as do all the other Ruger semi-auto rifles), which are close to the US Military M-1 Carbine. scot 22:31, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Redirect completed. Leaving this talk page here for posterity. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 20:18, Jan 31, 2005 (UTC)
