Article contents haven't been moved (yet)[edit]

From the article: "The contents of this page have been moved to http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Transwiki:ASAP ". But they haven't! Nothing at all is to be found at the given wiktionary address! How come? --Wernher 01:00, 20 Feb 2005 (UTC) (who opposed the move anyway)

Perhaps we Wiktionary contributors & sysops have misunderstood the mechanics of the Transwiki scheme. After the transwiki article has been adapted to a "real" Wiktionary article, we delete the transwiki page. Recently, the entire Transwiki list was cleared. If you can help clarify the proper mechanism, please do so on wikt:Wiktionary talk:Transwiki log. --Connel MacKenzie 23:34, Feb 28, 2005 (UTC)

Why is this page to be deleted?[edit]

Why is this page to be deleted? Is this page becomming a redirect to somewhere else? --Hhielscher 16:20, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I think the page was to be deleted because, according to Wikimedia policy, it more properly belongs in Wiktionary. Myself, I thought it was OK to keep the article here in WKP... but I am also able to understand the general reason for moving word definitions as such to WKT. On the other hand I think there are many other similarly 'simple' E(TLA)s covered in WKP, but perhaps those are of a different sort. Whatever. --Wernher 01:06, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Update: I think "ASAP" has a place both in Wiktionary and here in Wikipedia. There already is an article in Wiktionary, ASAP, which gives the straightforward acronym expansion and some translations. I wonder if the present WKP article could actually be kept as it is (as of this writing), provided that a link is provided to the WKT article, and vice versa. The alternative would be to move all the content of the present WKP article over to the WKT definition. Comments? --Wernher 01:28, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I tend to agree with not deleting this article. I don't believe it should be speedied; we could move it to VfD. It'd be nice though if it could be expanded, making its fate on VfD more certain. — Knowledge Seeker 04:12, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Redelete?[edit]

I just put on the speedy deletion tag without reading this page. It seems that this article was deleted and then resurrected, because the discussion dates back to February, while the oldest edit is today. Luqui 10:07, 2005 May 16 (UTC)
