User:Piotrus made me to do this page. Let's hope it will become useful. Przepla 20:54, 11 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, so what do we do? I could prepare some tables to be placed on all related sites, but what tables are exactly needed? Halibutt 17:29, 15 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
Akhem, akhem, is the project dead? My offer of tables is still in place. Just take a look at :pl:Dywizje Polskie or :pl:Warszawa for reference on what tables I'm speaking about. Or perhaps :pl:Wikipedysta:Halibutt/tabela is even better place to go. Halibutt 11:25, Aug 2, 2004 (UTC)

I have been talking a lot to myself on this subpage: Wikipedia:WikiProject_History_of_Poland/General. Perhaps not everybody have realized it is there? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 19:21, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Drukarze i radiostacje - też nieopisane. Wstępną wersję tabelki nawigacyjnej umieściłem na User:Halibutt/Polish Secret State, nic tylko wybrać niedziałający link, opisać i przenieść pod angielską nazwę. Co Wy na to? Halibutt 02:54, Sep 7, 2004 (UTC)

--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 20:13, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)

--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 11:37, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Ok, tak czy siak - projekt prawie skończony. Zostało jeszcze trochę linków do zrobienia, głównie organizacji politycznych i powstańczych. Patrz: Polish Secret State i Template:Polish Underground State sidebar. Halibutt 22:07, Nov 1, 2004 (UTC)

Polski Słownik Biograficzny[edit]

Tnx to the help of dr Marek Jerzy Minakowski, the list of people mentioned in the giant Polish Biographical Dictionary is here: List of Poles from Polski Słownik Biograficzny. Or will be as soon as I can figure how to convert ~25,000 entries into a Wiki-readable format. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 12:53, 9 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for the Wikipedia 1.0 project[edit]

Hi, I'm a member of the Wikipedia:Version_1.0_Editorial_Team, which is looking to identify quality articles in Wikipedia for future publication on CD or paper. We recently began assessing using these criteria, and we are looking for A-Class and good B-Class articles, with no POV or copyright problems. Can you recommend any suitable articles on Polish history? We have also contacted the general History WikiProject. I don't know if you've had any FAs, but they would be suitable as well. Please post your suggestions here. Cheers, Walkerma 17:22, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For start, see my user page for most of our Poland-related FAs, plus Witold Lutosławski and Marian Rejewski, which are two I had not contributed substantialy to.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 17:28, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks!--Shanel 21:40, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Project rationale[edit]

Recently I started work on reorganizing Category:World War II ships of Poland to be more consistant with the rest of the WWII ship/nation categories. Ultimately this category should only contain sub categories based on ship type (destroyer, submarine, etc.) plus a few stragglers that are either classless or do not conform to the normal ship types. --Kralizec! Project directory[edit]

Hello. The WikiProject Council has recently updated the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. This new directory includes a variety of categories and subcategories which will, with luck, potentially draw new members to the projects who are interested in those specific subjects. Please review the directory and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope that all the changes to the directory can be finished by the first of next month. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 17:17, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Day Awards[edit]

Hello, all. It was initially my hope to try to have this done as part of Esperanza's proposal for an appreciation week to end on Wikipedia Day, January 15. However, several people have once again proposed the entirety of Esperanza for deletion, so that might not work. It was the intention of the Appreciation Week proposal to set aside a given time when the various individuals who have made significant, valuable contributions to the encyclopedia would be recognized and honored. I believe that, with some effort, this could still be done. My proposal is to, with luck, try to organize the various WikiProjects and other entities of wikipedia to take part in a larger celebrartion of its contributors to take place in January, probably beginning January 15, 2007. I have created yet another new subpage for myself (a weakness of mine, I'm afraid) at User talk:Badbilltucker/Appreciation Week where I would greatly appreciate any indications from the members of this project as to whether and how they might be willing and/or able to assist in recognizing the contributions of our editors. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 20:56, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Project banner[edit]

I've created a project banner at Template:WikiProject History of Poland. Please feel free to use it in "marking" any articles you all feel relevant to your project. John Carter 21:19, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warsaw Uprising FAR[edit]

Warsaw Uprising has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. LuciferMorgan 15:25, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
