"Longest traceable migration path"[edit]

"The Pumi have the longest traceable migration path of any minority group in China." I'd love to see the sources for the claim that implies that the existence of the Pumi nationality of today was attested (in writing?) in the 4th century BC. This claim sounds absurd to me.
