Copyright[edit]

The text for the history section of this article appears to have been lifted verbatim from the Tongji universities website, according to the first revision of the article. It is not clear whether this is permissible? I am not familiar with Chinese IP laws, but it seems unlikely.

Doesn't matter[edit]

I haven't checked with Tongji officials, but I am sure they wouldn't mind borrowing the contents from their website. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tldai (talkcontribs) 12:11, 16 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Does matter[edit]

This is Wikipedia, so we can't copy and paste from any internet page -- even if the original author "doesn't mind." Text should be rephrased and cited, not copied. This is true for every article on Wikipedia. Heroeswithmetaphors (talk) 09:20, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shanghai Top 4 Universities[edit]

Hmm, I'm not sure that East China Normal University can really be put at the same level as Tongji, Fudan and Jiaotong. Also in terms of ranking there is a large divide between ECNU and the other three. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.86.216.214 (talk) 15:25, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
