This was meant to be Genghis Khan, I suppose. Spelling mistake by a new user. utcursch 11:43, Oct 14, 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep as redirect. There is no need to discuss this article, it's a classic case for replacing by a redirect. Which I already done... andy 11:51, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep as redirect.--Jll 12:20, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep as redirect - very common error -- Graham ☺ | Talk 12:22, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. I don't think speling errors (sic) should be kept as redirects. Make the search engine fuzzy if we want that functionality. --Improv 18:15, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Redirects have always been used for spelling mistakes, we shouldn't start to change that now imho. Fuzzy search engines arn't appropriate because of the structure of wikipedia. Darksun 18:37, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
      • There's no structural reason why the search engine isn't fuzzy, it's just not been written that way (yet). Anyway, I see no reason to delete harmless misspellings once they've been created; this is just clogging up VfD. Keep redirect. sjorford 12:38, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep as redirect - God knows how many times it takes to spell Neitzsche correctly. I mean, Nietzche. I mean, Nietszche -- Argh! Ian Pugh 18:39, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep as redirect until implementation not of a fuzzy search (which would correct for all mild typos) but that of a search that understood the rules of non-typo misspelling by English speakers. I shouldn't have to fall back on an any-typo search (or Soundex), since reasonable misspellings can be enumerated. --Jerzy(t) 11:04, 2004 Oct 18 (UTC)
