Category F1?[edit]

Should he really be in the F1 category? I have no problem with him being there per se, but the box under his name giving his "stats" give the impression that his life has soley been in F1, and in that "main area" of his life, he has no worthwhile stats. I think this may be an unfair representation of Tiff Needell. I think he is far more famous as a TV personality, and perhaps the article should reflect that. Any thoughts? --Nambio 08:20, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia[edit]

Tiff is also the presenter of the safety DVD at Thruxton kart track. Djcater 04:05, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is the comment regarding the nickname correct? I was under the impression that it comes from his brother's mispronunciation of 'Timothy'. Ganglandboss (talk) 18:09, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

F1 Points and podiums[edit]

The info box of this article previously said that Needell had one podium and 8 points in his F1 career. I have changed these to 0, since he never finished a race.83.244.128.162 (talk) 16:35, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That section of the infobox details his results in the British Formula One Series, not the World Championship. DH85868993 (talk) 11:13, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Second in the 1998 FIA GT1 Championship?[edit]

The hyperlink provided in the article does not verify this. Any additional clues would be welcome. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.249.194.192 (talk) 20:33, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, 1998 FIA GT Championship doesn't mention him at all, so I think the statement that he finished second in that championship must be false. driverdb.com says he finished 5th in the 1998 British GT1 championship and brdc.co.uk says he finished 2nd in the 1988 British GT1 Championship, so perhaps whoever wrote the he finished second in the 1998 FIA GT1 Championship meant one of those results instead?
