Discussion[edit]

Untitled[edit]

Folks, I don't know what you were taught in school, but I was always taught that you do NOT alphabetize based on the 'T' in 'the' or 'A' or 'An.' The definite and indefinite articles (the, a, an, and their equivalents in other languages) are ignored for the purpose of alphabetization.

This is an issue with the people who categorised those novels, not with the category. If you wish, you can find the articles and change the category such that they read [[Category:Science fiction novels|Name of the novel, The]] instead of just plain [[Category:Science fiction novels]]. -- Grunt (talk) 02:51, 2004 Aug 17 (UTC)

Genre includes books that don't belong[edit]

About half of these books are FANTASY, not SF! John Carter and the martian princesses of E. R. Burroughs DO NOT belong here! 195.70.32.136 16:20, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As you find them correct them - thanks :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page) 19:18, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Haruhi Suzumiya[edit]

I know next to nothing about it, but I do know that Haruhi Suzumiya is neither science-fiction nor a series of novels. --Philo 16:29, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
