Talk:Irrealism in music

As someone who has studied irrealism as a theory in (academic) metaphysics, I would be very interested to learn how, exactly, one might apply that theory to music--I suspect "irrealism" means something entirely different in the field of music, eh? --LMS

Well, the actual music (in terms of notes) may not reflect irrealism -- it is the lyrics that espouse it.

Do you think I (or you) should edit the "irrealism" and "irrealism in music" pages to make this clear?

Fascinating. So some rock band (or more than one?!) actually thinks irrealism is so interesting as to write rock lyrics around it? Why aren't they writing about sex, drugs, crime? Just kidding. Yes, definitely you should edit the article to make this clear. An example of the lyrics would be good, too. --LMS

Please see talk:irrealism. Maybe you could post an example of the lyrics. The irrealism article, besides, implies that there's some way to "put irrealism into practice" other than, e.g., badly paraphrasing philosophers in rock lyrics. --LMS
