Please add the missing word:

"The battle is best remembered for its first day, 1 July 1916, on which the British suffered 57,470 casualties, making it the bloodiest day in the history of the British Army."

Featured articles shouldn't collide with selected anniversaries. If it could concievably show up in selected anniversaries that day, it shouldn't also show up as the featured article. →Raul654 22:05, Dec 19, 2004 (UTC)
