I'm not sure about the various names in the Japanese article, since a lot of them can have several readings and no furigana is provided to clarify. Somebody who is a little more knowledgeable about the puroresu scene will have to fill in. — Gwalla | Talk 22:38, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

different rules from MMA[edit]

I think it is noteworthy that RINGS has similar rules to New Jersey Unified Rules of MMA except punches to the face of a grounded opponent are illegal. --131.122.190.238 02:29, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Title Belts?[edit]

I have seen at least one list available at [1] which lists three title belts in RINGS, the Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, and Middleweight championships. Given that Fedor Emelianenko is such a huge name in the sport, I am wondering why I've never heard of him holding this title.

Clarification of professional wrestling and MMA eras.[edit]

Ok, I think I sorta got the gist. 1995-1999 era is kinda like Pancrase's 1993-1996 period where they sorta pick and choose what are real or worked fights.

1991-1994: Shoot Wrestling style Pro Wrestling/Maeda's UWF continuation
1995-1999: early Pancrase-style "selective Pro Wrestling/MMA fights."
1999-2001: KOK Rules/MMA proper
