Image request[edit]

Does someone have a picture of a finished Upwords game's board? I'd look on Google Images for one but I doubt the U.S./Cdn. gov't and Wikipedia's copyright rules allow me to copy it even as "fair use". --Unforgettableid 02:15, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-Scrabble Bias[edit]

I removed the references to things like triple word scores and double letter scores being "tedious" because that is very subjective. I changed it to simply saying that those things require additional calculations, which is objective and true. I also clarified the "s" rule... you ARE allowed to put an "s" at the end of a word to pluralize it, but that cannot be ALL that you do. If that "s" is part of a different word you place on the board, doing so is perfectly within the rules. 69.123.13.152 (talk) 02:58, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I always thought it was quite legitimate, both in Scrabble and in Upwords, to play a single "s" to make a word plural (there is nothing against this in the U.K. version of the rules). ACEOREVIVED (talk) 23:35, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is this game like Scrabble?[edit]

Is this game really like Scrabble? I hardly think so! You do not get points for individual tiles according to letter frequency - except the V, the X, the J, the Z and the Q, all of which will give you an extra two points. Even getting two extra for the V (which gets you four points in Scrabble) can be described as an anti-Scrabble touch in the game.ACEOREVIVED (talk) 15:35, 13 July 2011 (UTC) Also, there is only one V in the game, but there are two Vs in Scrabble.
