Dubious Information[edit]

Caps and goal figures in the article likely contain European cup/Domestic cup data in addition to Domestic League data (this is very certain based on this user's previous edits containing similar information [1]. Please correct this issue and leave a note here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alfmaster#Footballers.27_European_goals, to warn this person about putting improper information on Wikipedia. --Palffy 21:11, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Francescoli a spanish name?[edit]

Uriarte is spanish, but Francescoli is an italian surname from italian given name Francesco, the spanish form is Francisco. In this italian article [2] is clearly reported that Francescoli has italian origin. The article is from La Repubblica, as of 2006, the largest circulation Italian daily general-interest newspaper (from english Wikipedia). According to Wikipedia, in Uruguay there are 1,5 milion people of italian origin, see Demographics of Uruguay. --Larth_Rasnal (talk) 13:37, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

olympic titles with River Plate?[edit]

"Return to River Plate" section has this: The two Olympic titles in four days is still an Argentine football club record held by River Plate, and is a source of national pride.
The team won one national and one South American title. How exactly are those "Olympic titles"? 85.76.102.33 (talk) 08:04, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
