Is this the same series that showed on BBC TV a few years ago? If so then that should probably be mentioned!! GRAHAMUK 22:03, 25 Nov 2003 (UTC)

They did. It was noted in the closing credits of every episode.

Not exactly the same...the only thing in common between the two shows was the name and the format. In other words, the actual content of the UK and U.S. shows differed, which makes sense, really. BillyH 16:22, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe the British show needs to be put under titles such as I♥1971 or I♥... (BBC television & compilation album brand)? (Heaven)

UK Inaccuracies?[edit]

The entry states that parts were inaccurate. Would be nice to explain what they were. --Navstar 04:02, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, in fact the article has many uncited POV statements and weasel words, I've removed the following text; The BBC series was soon proven to be riddled with inaccuracies - many trends of the 1960s and 1980s were included as "fads" of the 70s. The BBC received many complaints and were accused of "hyping the 70s" and "rewriting history" at the expense of the 60s and 80s.
Who "proved it was riddled with inaccuracies"?
MINOR inaccuracies I've heard of were Space Hoppers and Stylophones, which were both released in the late 60s, but they were definitely 1970s crazes, so it made perfect sense to include them in a series about 1970s culture.
Criticizing the series for those reasons is like complaining that a documentary about the 1960s shoudln't mention the popularity of Volkswagen Beetles because they were invented in the 1930s. 172.189.8.96 20:07, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Individual episode articles[edit]

If anyone here has copies of the UK episodes of I Love the 70s (and/or 80s and 90s), it'd be great if they could help with the episode pages, as at the moment they're incredibly US-centric, not even mentioning the UK versions. I did I Love 1970 after finding what I believe to be a complete list of the topics covered in the UK version, but that was the only list I could find. I'm hoping the general style of that article will carry through to the others, should they decide to add UK information into them. BillyH 02:04, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

All the individual episodes should be merged into this page since they're all stubs, have little potential of being expanded, and this page is also a stub. I'll be marking the various other decades as well. Ƶ§œš¹ [aɪm ˈfɻɛ̃ⁿdˡi] 20:03, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
