Name Pronunciation[edit]

On the splash page of X-Men #10 (Ka-Zar's first appearance), right next to the title, inside an arrow point right at his name, it says "PRONOUNCED KAY-SAR." I don't know how to change footnotes and the like, so if someone could correct that (after verifying, of course), it would be swell. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.203.82.217 (talk) 16:41, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Clone[edit]

How can something be a "clone" of something that was to be created 32 years later ("Turok")

It seems relatively inane to include that, considering the archetype predates Ka-Zar

Turok predates Ka-Zar by at least a decade. -Sean Curtin 02:47, 29 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Technically speaking Ka-Zar is the first Marvel hero, predating even Sub-Mariner and the Human Torch - predating Turok by two decades. However, the idea of a savage (if you were to consider Turok a savage, and I wouldn't) in a hidden valley of dinosaurs did appear in Turok before that concept appeared as the Savage Land in early X-Men issues. Considering Ka-Zar's pulp origins, I should mention that Turok was more than likely not the first to have a hidden valley of dinosaurs either. All that said, the original version of Ka-Zar was clearly an immitation of Tarzan. - Kevingarcia 06:18, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ka-Zar Intro.jpg[edit]

Image:Ka-Zar Intro.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Disambiguation[edit]

Would anyone object to making Ka-Zar a disambiguation page and moving the Kevin Plunder information to Ka-Zar (comics) since there is already a page called Ka-Zar (pulp serial) and it seems unneeded to have both characters discussed on one page.
