I removed "The variety has been hybridised with Pinot Noir as Pinotage. The resulting vines are cultivated in South Africa and Zimbabwe" as Hermitage as used in this entry is referring to the wines of the Hemitage region and not a variety.

Moved to Hermitage AOC to be consistent with other AOC entries Justinc 23:51, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
