LAH yields[edit]

Hi Andr,

I'm contacting you about the % yields you posted on Lithium aluminium hydride. You listed them as w/w yields. Normally yields are done based on moles of a limiting reagent, are these yields different? If they are different, can you recalculate them as normal % yields? By the way, we really appreciate the work you did improving that page, thanks, Walkerma 03:37, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Walkerma
I'm glad that you like my contribution :-) Sorry about the late reply, but I have been busy elsewhere for the last few months. Actually the yield numbers come from one of books I have referred (Wiberg I think). I guess that the yield is the actual outcome of a reaction relative to the teoretical outcome assuming no unwanted reactions etc. It shouldn't make a difference if was in moles in stead of w/w, I think? Image Tagging Image:Lialh4 sem.png[edit]

Warning sign
This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Lialh4 sem.png. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. cohesiontalk 22:28, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cohesion
Thanks for your effort in cleaning up images without copyright, adressing copyright issues in general etc. I have edited the copyright of the image to be appropiate. Andr 22:02, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Lialh4 struct.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lialh4 struct.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. --cohesiontalk 22:29, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LiAlH4[edit]

I noticed that you have strengthened lithium aluminium hydride and plan to do more. The article is very good. My main comment is that H2 storage theme is filled with hype. INHO, there is zero prospect of LiAlH4 or the related NaAlH4 ever finding such applications. But that is just my view.--Smokefoot (talk) 04:19, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your appreciation. I definitely will write something about hydrogen storage, since this is actually the reason for this material having received so much attention during the latest decade. That being said, I agree with you that complex hydrides have been hyped in relation to hydrogen storage, and in my opinion LiAlH4 does not look like a promising candidate for this task. File copyright problem with File:Lialh4 dsc.svg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Lialh4 dsc.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:23, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
