- That's very unlikely, given that in Bürger's ballad it is Lenore's husband, rather than Lenore herself, who is dead. DES (talk) 15:05, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
I deleted the referrence to the death of Virginia Poe. She died in 1847, so saying that a poem written in 1843 was "influenced by his young wife's death" is just stupid. I changed it to say it "may" have been influenced by her illness. I also embellished the "discussion of decorum" by including what the narrator concludes is proper for the rememberance of the death of a beautiful young woman.
This poem deserves a much more in-depth interpretation! Anyone got any ideas?
Lenore "The cute little dead girl" is a character created and written by Roman Dirge, inspired in Poe´s poem.
Lenore is morbid, witty and talented. She has some friends, such as Ragamuffin (A vampire turned into a doll by one of his victms sister), Takidermy, Mr. Gosh and Ladybug.
It´s a charming cartoon varying from beautiful colored scenes full of nice animals to spooky gray shades that hide creepy characters.
All the stories are morbid, however poetic, and they are all available in the net.
She was introduced to the public in 2002.
It says the poem was written in 1843, but when I looked it up online I found that it was first published in 1841. I'm going to\make modifications to the article, unless someone here knows a more reliable reference that says otherwise. -Kyler Thatch 17:54, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Lenore in other media?[edit]
How can we be sure references to "Lenore" are actually from this poem and not "The Raven"? I think we should only include listings in that section that are -clearly- and -admittedly- influenced or inspired by the poem "Lenore" and NOT "The Raven." Speculation is not a good way to go.
