So have the rangers evolved into a pseudo-Jedi or samurai? Tomtom

Remove stub message?[edit]

This article now looks like a decent and thorough coverage. Should the {{stub}} tag be removed? I'm still new, and while I'm generally getting the hang of "Be bold in editing pages", I'd rather not make an edit that will remove information if it's still accurate. --AlexChurchill 09:31, Jul 20, 2004 (UTC)

I agree. Stub message removed. --xjaymanx 23:17, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:B5 marcus.jpg[edit]

Image:B5 marcus.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Ranger Oath[edit]

I thought the original Ranger Oath (from early on in the series) was "We live for The One, we would die for the one". I think I can remember Lennier saying this during one of the episodes?

When did it change? (I am watching LOTR, so I know it has changed). And since Delenn was all about revering life, why would the whole of the Rangers suddenly become suicidal?

(Sorry - something extra. There is this http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/synops/063.html which quotes Marcus as saying "We live for the One and we would die for the One" - so apparently it has changed during the life of the series).

I think for the phrasing of "live for the One, die for the One" means that Bablyon 5 Rangers will follow any order, even their death, if commanded by the One to do it. --Crab182 (talk) 20:05, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can understand that. I guess I was curious when it changed, because it has gone "We would die" to "We die" and there was no explanation for this :) SammyWrae (talk) 00:16, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Entil'zha Error[edit]

The article currently states "Delenn became the new Ranger One, though she did not inherit the title Entil'zha." I just finished watching the 5th season episode "Learning Curve," where Delenn was repeatedly referred to as Entil'zha. So I've removed the part of the entry after the comma. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Korey Pesicka (talkcontribs) 18:34, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge target[edit]

I do not have time to fix/cite this right now. Some of the text could be merged, but where? List of Babylon 5 characters doesn't have a ranger section. Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers has nothing about the organization, but is a real movie with reception, etc. that should easily meet inclusion criteria. Jclemens (talk) 05:07, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is not an article for creation. This is not a draft. Anyone can AfD it, but the ask now is that we merge it appropriately. Jclemens (talk) 20:10, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
