Wikipedia talk:Unsolved Problems

The only substantive problem discussed on this page is that of people not understanding the reasons for particular reverts, due to a lack of explanation. I already made changes to Wikipedia:Why Wikipedia is not so great that incorporate the concept there. Rather than leave this as a redundant and unused page, it should be redirected there. We have far too many pages in the Wikipedia namespace, making it extremely difficult for people to familiarize themselves with our policies and guidelines. Consolidating and redirecting the unneeded ones is sorely needed in order to make the site more user-friendly. --Michael Snow 16:40, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Can I Reverse the link? I dislike Why Wikipedia is not so great because it implies that Wikipedia has permanent problems, rather than that wikipedia has problems, but they are problems that need a solution. I propose dropping Why Wikipedia is not so great and redirecting it to Wikipedia: Unsolved Problems. Jrincayc 02:27, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)

The title of that page is a parallelism to Wikipedia:Why Wikipedia is so great, so that's at least some argument for preserving it. The pages have been that way for quite some time. Personally, I don't feel that either the present title or your preference is much different in terms of perception. The current one avoids the strongly negative word problems while your version hints that the flaws can be corrected.

If you want to pursue a change, I would suggest taking it up on Wikipedia talk:Why Wikipedia is not so great. By the way, "Unsolved Problems" is incorrectly capitalized according to our conventions, it should be "Unsolved problems". --Michael Snow 16:46, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)
