Spelling Quote[edit]

This quote: Although it appears similar to l33t spelling, the appearance of Escape as E5C4P3 on the cover art is due to the nature of the font, and was not actually spelled partially with numbers. should really be sourced. If it is a "font" issue, why does one E face forward, and the other backwards? 24.38.116.118 19:24, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

With that font style the S that looks like a 5 is correct. I believe the 4 and 3 signify the album release number 7. 70.66.252.87 (talk) 15:08, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree - I was just about to ask the same thing. I'm going to zap it, or at least rewrite it. If someone can give a rationale for that statement, then fine, we can put it back (with a citation). KConWiki 03:38, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Heavy metal/alternative rock[edit]

I don't know who the hell had put that genres on this one, i must say that he's crazy or he's a troll, there's nothing "metal" or "alternative" about this.

I don't know from "alternative" (not that it matters what I think), but "heavy metal" is, IMO, a bit...surprising. However, that's what the cited source Rocklist.net says Kerrang! and Virgin said, so I'd say we have to go with that. That is, of course, unless somebody *ahem* finds other sources that state otherwise. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 04:54, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is not alternative. I'm going to remove that again. PLEASE DON'T ADD ALTERNATIVE AGAIN. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:6010:e700:ba00:e543:3c3c:45b0:5be3 (talk) 11:41, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please sign your posts using four tildes (~~~~).
Please also reveal why you think it is not alternative. The article cites a source putting Escape as Virgin's "24th greatest heavy metal/alternative rock album", and we seem not to believe it's heavy metal, which leaves "alternative" as a sourced genre.
Please also use an edit summary when you make your edits. Thanks,— JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 21:44, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is straight up hard rock or adult contemporary for some songs, i would keep it as hard rock or rock. 70.66.252.87 (talk) 15:04, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
