Abduction of Pakistanis[edit]

The sentence "The abductions, which allegedly took place prior to (and were probably related with security issues concerning) Greece's hosting of the Olympic Games," makes no sense, since the alleged abductions might be because of the terror attacks in Lodon past 911. Please see the greek embassy website statement for a very short mention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.166.229.63 (talk) 23:47, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History of EYP/NIP[edit]

OK, I need to post the DETAILED History of the Hellinic Natial Intelligence Service ever since it's conseption... No offence, but the article seems like it was written from the PR deparment of the NIS...

It was. Please don't post anymore negative comments about us, or we will be forced to liquidate you. Have a nice day. --Gen. Megalopeos, Director of PR, NIP 04:14, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Posting a DETAILED history is OK by me. Please remember to post only facts that can be verified through reliable independent sources, as per WP:CITE. 85.75.189.202 10:30, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

The historical section abounds with uncited claims. Do some research in order to place proper citations or they will have to go. 84.254.15.97 (talk) 06:56, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, the alleged assistance to Bosnian Serbs and abduction of Pakistanis have no references supporting these claims. Unless someone provides some references these section will probably have to go. Walnutjk (talk) 21:34, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Six months were abundant time to substantiate the claims with citations. Since this has not happened, the questionable "historical" section that read like the bastard child of Pravda with Αυριανή was deleted. 85.73.235.229 (talk) 17:52, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ioannis Korandis is no more EYP Director, please somebody correct that issue. Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.210.92.195 (talk) 14:34, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Involvement in 1967 Coup?[edit]

The Greek military junta of 1967–1974 article states:

"In particular, the newly-founded Hellenic National Intelligence Service (KYP) and the LOK Special Forces (later actively involved in the 1967 coup) maintained a very close liaison with their American counterparts. In addition to preparing for a Soviet invasion, they agreed to guard against a left wing coup. The LOK in particular were integrated into the Gladio European stay-behind network.[2] Although there have been persistent rumors about an active support of the perpetrators of the coup d'état by the US government there is no evidence to support such claims.[3][4] It is however likely that the US military was informed of the coup a few days in advance by Greek liaison officers."

The above information seems relevant to this article. I am not well informed about the issues, so I will leave the update to someone else.

Precursor Agencies[edit]

The article does not state who or what carried out the functions of NIS before its formation. 31.68.5.98 (talk) 17:21, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
