This article actually does not describe what the effect is, except "opposite of the usually-pervasive Lake Wobegon effect". Could we correct this? [[User:Sverdrup|Sverdrup❞]] 18:23, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Mathematical/Scientific ability might be a good addition to this list. It is almost an instantaneous reaction for many people to profess a lack of ability to do mathematics when encountering someone who can, or even the mention of it by others.

But most people actually can't do math. ;-) Juggling ability?? I have tried to juggle and it really IS totally impossible, so I don't see how it could be underestimated! --84.250.188.136 (talk) 01:09, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
