There's no source listed for the claim that Turner considers Miranda "dead," and that sentence was submitted anonymously (although apparently by someone who knows a lot about Turner). Can anyone cite a reference on this?

Well, Miranda looks kind of dead to me. I was curious about it, and I tried to find the company which is supposed to be selling it, Reasearch Software, Ltd. And I can't. If a software company doesn't have a website in this day and age... --Ansible 04:35, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The company which owns Miranda (Research Software Limited) is still alive and filing tax returns in the UK. That piece of code is using Miranda's literate script mode: every line _not starting_ with ">" is a comment. The confusing part is that the author starts the above comment with ">" (which would indicate it's actually code!), but then proceeds to write an "||", which indicates it's a comment after all. Change to Introduction[edit]

The lead begins "Miranda is a non-strict..." where "non-strict" forwards to the lazy evaluation page. This doesn't seem correct as there are many non-strict languages that aren't lazy. Comparison to Haskell[edit]
