Twelvth?

Sorry. The original broken link was a typo. I did not notice it. My fault. Toytoy 14:00, Dec 12, 2004 (UTC)

Security Command vs. Defense Security Command[edit]

The organization Chun Doo-hwan was in charge of was called "보안사령부" at the time, which translates to Security Command. The organization was later changed to the 국군기무사령부, whose accepted english name is "Defense Security Command". I've changed Chun's org back to Security Command, and I've added a source that says it was 보안사령부 at the time (technically it was 국군보안사령부). I also added a ref showing that the translation of 보안사령부 is "Defense Command". Note that the dictionary doesn't explicitly have an entry for 보안사령부, but it has an entry for 육군보안사령부. The "육군" part just means "Army".

In short: I strongly feel Chun's organization during 1979 should translate to Security Command, so I've made the change and added a couple sources, as well. FFLaguna (talk) 21:40, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Results[edit]

I added in what I think was the result: "The coup ended the Fourth Republic of South Korea and led to the Fifth Republic of South Korea." However, if someone with more knowledge would like to edit/add to that, please do. --AW (talk) 22:15, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
