Notability[edit]

All references for notability are from the student federation's own newspapers (Fulcrum or Rotonde) or from the SFUO's website itself.

I'll look into some of this since I work at the SFUO. I'll go check the plaque and also pester the President since there is no way that history is correct on the SFUO website. The SFUO has *NOT* been around since the 1800s (they only list from the 1940s), and a dead man can't be president. --Waterspyder 11:10, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to call bias on the section about the February 2009 elections. The content is not neutral, as denoted by the use of all capitals for the word successful. The fact is also not referenced. I have placed the 2009 Elections Appeal Section of this page under "watch for neutrality". This section deals with an event which has not yet been resolved, has taken a personal turn for some individuals involved, and as of this time includes text that amounts to argumentation in favour of one side's claims in the dispute.

I suggest that this section be struck until the appeal has been resolved, but I would like to promote discussion on how to fix this situation. Jenny.Petrow 07:47, 20 Mar 2009

Merging with SFUO[edit]

Recently the SFUO and UOSU draft page were merged. This seems wrong to me, as they are distinct and separate organizations. The article is choppy and difficult to read with both of them merged. I think they should be kept as different articles, but linked together, so readers will understand them as different organizations that did the same task in representing students at the university.

I think it could also make to keep the SFUO part to simply the history section, but that would remove some content relating to the governing structure, campaigns, and controversies. Moneymanmark (talk) 04:02, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
