In the Four fours article, it says that 113 is difficult, not that it is impossible under the standard rules. Certainly, it doesn't say it's the smallest number unattainable under the standard rules. Even if it did, it would need a source both there and here. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 00:57, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

http://paulbourke.net/fun/4444/ gives 5 ways to make 113 using nonstandard functions (nonstandard for the purposes of the four fours game, not for math in general), but nothing using only standard functions. HotdogPi 11:16, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't say there isn't a standard representation, and may not be a reliable source. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 00:18, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Depends on what the "standard rules" are. Doesn't it? "Solutions from 0 to 116, not including 113 which is probably not findable by the rules given." http://www.wheels.org/math/44s.html Ileanadu (talk) 17:36, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
