Hi, I'm Matt Dunford, aka mattbatt in some circles. I currently work as a System Administrator during the day (and sometimes at night). I'm an avid reader of Wikipedia. Topics on History and Language are what I read the most, but clicking on the Random page link is plenty of fun too. I've always been interested in the movements of people, especially nomadic peoples like the Huns, Mongols, and Turks.

Other points of interest about me are: I enjoy browsing books on Grammar. Currently my favorite type of music is Death Metal. I seem to be drawn to bands from Finland (Finntroll, Moonsorrow, and Nightwish for example). I couldn't explain why. I'm also addicted to IRC and other chat venues.

The hobby that I spend the most of my free time on is Computer Programming. But lately I'm trying to branch out more and get away from the computer. I'm dabbling in such things as Gardening and Cooking. Reading is also something I'm trying to do more of. My favorite author of all time is Dostoevsky. Definately check him out.

My contributions to Wikipedia consist only of minor edits, as I correct when I'm browsing. A list of them can be found here.
