Subject[edit]

The title and the subject matter don't match. RickK 05:56, Jun 4, 2005 (UTC)

Indeed, it is a copy of North Atlantic current. Should we replace this page with a redirect? CS Miller 08:35, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)
Done. William M. Connolley 13:39:41, 2005-07-30 (UTC).
Replaced the redirect with a stub-article. This is an important article (one of the five such articles). Thus, doing so will help it expand in the future. Thats whats Wikipedia is all about. Regards. Rehman(+) 14:48, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rubbish island[edit]

Looks like they have found one in the na gyre thats similar to the pacific patch, news source. Gnangarra 04:15, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. And there seems to be a lot of news about it too (hence notability). I have created a stub on the topic, hopefully it will be expanded as information becomes available. Regards. Rehman(+) 08:39, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dimensions of North Atlantic Gyre[edit]

One thing that should be added to the article is specific information on the size, shape, depths, flow, volume and rate of this gyre. Also how it interacts (or not) with the Gulf Stream and other flows.

"North Atlantic Gyre" is non-specific[edit]

I think it is not given that the North Atlantic Gyre refers to the subtropical gyre (as opposed to the subpolar gyre).

Can I propose that this article is renamed North Atlantic Subtropical Gyre or North Atlantic Gyres (as there are two). Robbie Mallett (talk) 19:34, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
